Congratulations to Bobby Emmert of Troop 208 on successfully completing his Eagle Board of Review! Bobby's Eagle project was helping elderly people learn to use the computer. Bobby is pictured with his dad and Scoutmaster, Bob Emmert.
I was the Scout Executive of the Hiawathaland Council in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This is not a council blogsite. It is just my personal observations and experiences that might be of interest to Scouters. Dewey Jones
Scouting legend Curley Verville of Iron River visited Camp Hiawatha for an afternoon. Curley became Scoutmaster after returning from World War II and took troops to camp for 54 consecutive years. He is shown visiting old friends at camp: Biff Ahlman, Chuck Suckow, Doc Bender, and Sue Erickson. While touring the kitchen with Sue, he volunteered to replace the 25 year old refrigerator in memory of his wife Betty.
