Wild Game Feed

After working up an appetite at the Cub Winter Games, Sue and I went to the Menominee Iron Range's Wild Game Feed in Iron Mountain. It is an appreciation event for supporters in the community. The menu included:
Appetizers: Venison Summer Sausage, Venison Sauage Sticks, Buffalo Tongue, Corned Venison,Smoked Salmon, Cheese and Crackers
Wild Rice Soup with Venison
Entrees: Alligator Jambalaya, Roast Buffalo w/apples and onions, Elk, Broiled Moose, Salmon, Venison meatloaf w/ mushroom gravy, Venison stroganoff w/ cranberry sause
Sides: Fry Bread with honey butter, salad, green bean casserole, cole slaw, corn
Dessert: Vanilla ice cream with strawberries.
It was a delicious meal provided by the cooking crew and superb overall organization by the district committee.
A silent auction offset the costs of the event and provided some income for the council budget.
Venture Crew 9570 put on an excellent presentation from their backpacking trek at Isle Royale last summer.

Pere Marquette Cub Winter Games

Pere Marquette District's Cub Winter Games is a great event. The Negaunee Township Hall is a ideal location for it. The weather was bright and cold. There was more snow on the ground than we have ever had. The cold kept some Scouts away, but the ones who braved the weather had a great event. Thanks to Sue, Jim, Paul, Sheree and a great crew of volunteers.

Mad Hatters

Flo was making the hats for judges for the Pere Marquette Winter Games, so Sue thought they would be cute for Cub Masters to wear at Blue and Gold Banquets. Here they are at Round Table.

Blue and Gold time

February- Blue and Gold Banquet time. I don't get to attend many of them, but had a fun time being the cake auctionner for Pack 356. This one portrayed a camp scene on a lake. Julian did a great job.
