Cool Cub Winter Games

Cub Scouts had a cool time at the Winter Games in Pere Marquette District. Event chair Darryl Mattson and his team came up with some innovative events like curling and sled bowling that were big hits with the Cubs.

Ship 303 is underway

Sea Scout Ship 303 was recently rechartered. Shown at the charter presentation are Simone Vadja, committee chair, me, Chad Lewis, Chartered Organization representative for the Marquette Junior Yacht Club, and Gordon Mortensen, committee member. The ship is for youth who have mastered basic sailing and aquatics skills, primarily through the Junior Yacht Club's sailing school.
