Eagles in Troop 360



Marv Gibson drives home a point to Troop 360 Eagles at their Court of Honor. These are the last of Huk's Eagles- 29 in 25 years. Calvin Attwell, Tyler Hoy, Alex Salfai, and Kyle Tapio. All 4 recently completed their freshman year at NMU.

Weekend Fun at Camp Hiawatha


Pack 308 continued their tradition of a spring family campout at Camp Hiawatha. They fished, hiked, cooked out, and spent time just being boys.

Dan Closner used his creative talents and initiative to bring attention to the 100th Anniversary as we began the Centennial Celebration weekend.

Centennial Celebration- A Grand Weekend


The Centennial Event was a great experience. Chairman Al Feldhauser and his hard working committee were rewarded with ideal weather for the 325 Boy Scouts and leaders and 250 Cub Scouts who attended the grand weekend of celebration. .




Centennial Celebration- Hiking in the Footsteps of the Founders

Scouts gained
an understanding and appreciation of the founders of Scouting in the UP through hiking in their footsteps. Jim Beckman portrayed Perry Hatch, the founder of Scouting in the UP who became Scouting's Grand Old Man here. Jim shared his personal recollections of Perry and memorabilia from his extensive collections.
Jordan Smith related the story of Bart King was one of the original Scouts and then a leader. He served herocally in World War I where he died of pneumonia brought on by exhaustion.
